The Friends Foundation of Thailand
• Friends foundation is the leading independent organization creating real and lasting
change for farmer's children in need in Thailand.
• The inspiration started in 2007. Friends Foundation work to create opportunities for the farmer's
children to live a safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.
• Friend Foundation work with poor farmer's families to define and solve the problems their
children and communities face and to ensure self-sufficiency is the main mission.
• Through the years, Friends Foundation achievements have shaped the development of the
Foundation and helped change the lives of the farmer children.
• Friends Foundation's inspiration and mission is to provide and support all these poor farmer
children. Thus, Friends Foundation relized
a) that Education plays a very decisive role in the development of any country or culture.
b) If all the members of any society have done the basic education then they can
contribute towards developing a crime free and productive society
c) Thousand of farmer children and their families earn not more than 20,000 Baht or
$ 570 USD a year
d) Education for them is beyond reach.
Criteria of selection
1. The student must qualify a GPA score of 3.3 or above
2. Total annual family income is 30,000 baht or less
3. Single- parent family
